From a meme that's making it's way around the blogiverse...
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
"This fact allows calculation of the enthalpy change for any reaction from the energies required to convert the initial reactants into elements and then conbine the elements into the desired products."
Chemistry: The Central Science, by Theodore L. Brown, H Eugene LeMay, Jr., & Bruce E. Bursten.
(*Note* I'm not sure I even made it to reading page 161 in that text from my 1st-year chem class. No, I don't know why I still have the book.)

You have it around to remind yourself how clever you are ;), or you paid a lot for that text book and don't have the heart to get rid of it!
Maybe because someday I might need to look up something about chemistry...
