random thoughts are flying round my head taking with them all vestiges of sanity nothing's still chaos reigns instead fleeting images take hold instant disturbances with nothing grounded unreality expands refurbishes dull existance when necessity receeds unlikely candidate for contemplative exemption
*edit (after the fact)* obviously the logical thing to be doing when you need a break from writing an essay is to write nonsense. I claim temporary insanity due to academic english overload.

Tea and Coincidences
Coincidence: the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection; also : any of these occurrences
Why? because of the tea.
I fixed my friend's ski mittens yesterday. She brought me tea and chocolate as a thank-you :) Completely unecessary, but totally appreciated (who can argue with tea and chocolate!). The tea was from a shop in Courtenay that sells prolly a hundred different types of loose tea; she choose a Rooibos called Pumpkin Spice Cream which includes apple, sunflower blossums, nettle and pumpkin spice flavour. Last time I was in there I bought some of my favourite Tiramisu Rooibos (it's like dessert in a cup if you add a bit of cream and sugar; oooh soooo good) and a particular other tea caught my eye and I decided that next time I would try that one instead. Said friend told me that she had never been in the shop before, but she went in yesterday and the Pumpkin Spice cream caught her eye so she figured she'd get that one for me. Of all the many types of tea, how is it that the one I was planning on getting next was the one that caught her eye?
Coincidence.
and in case anyone is curious; here is their website http://www.teacentre.ca/

"Demo (Letzter Tag)"
Here's the song from the video below. Thank you Steve for translating for me!
THE LAST DAY [Letzter Tag]
------------
Does one know how often a heart can break?
...how much sense an occasion has? [[play on words "wann - occasion", "sinne - sense", "wannsinn - crazy"]]
...is worth feelings?
How many tears fit in a canal?
Are we living again?
Why do we wake up?
What does time heal?
I am your 7th sin,
... your double floor,
... your 2nd face.
You are...
... a smart prediction
[[directly translated: "a smart prognoses". alternativetranslation: "a good bet."]]
... the principle of hope,
... a streak of light out of the night,
Sometime, I will find and love you.
I am one of your colours,
You can choose it.
You can wear it.
You can bleach it.
It will give up all your secret codes.
It will paint your boldest dreams.
It will explain to you what I don't understand.
I am your 7th sin,
... your double floor,
... your 2nd face.
You are...
... a sure prediction,
... the principle of hope,
... a streak of light out of the night,
Sometime, I will find and love you.
Life put red in our veins.
I'll serve it to you on a gold platter.
You fetch me out of the grey valley of tears.
You let so much wonder happen at once, that I cannot see or hear anymore.
I am your 7th sin,
... your double floor,
... your 2nd face
... your favorite colour
.... your sports car
.... your deepest dive
.... your sailplane.
You are...
... a good prediction,
... the principle of hope,
... a streak of light out of the night,
I will find you and love you more than myself.
I love you more than myself.
Sometime I will find you.
I'll find you or not.
I love you more than myself.
And I'll find you.
I'll find you... or not.

still here...
Yup, I'm still here. Of course you woudln't know if from my blog htough. Meh. I don't have anything particularly interesting to report, nor any particularly interesting thoughts to share.
Let's see.... Oh, ok, here's a thought from boxing day; mulled wine in the parking lot after dragon boating is a good thing. I'll leave the fireball whiskey to the guy that brought it (who brings whiskey paddling!?!? Kind of funny though to see a guy pull out half a mickey of fireball...)
Hmmm, another thought? Yes, not so random contemplation on dogs; dogs are fine. Some are good (Rowdy, Waldo, Bain), but I really don't like any of them trying to get into my lap while I'm eating dinner. There's a reason it's called "people food". But really, I'm a cat girl at heart.
Dancing is good (most of the time). I like to dance; I wish I was really good at it, but I'm not. I enjoy it regardless.
~ i did warn you that none of this was going to be particularly though-provoking, right? ~
What else? Ordering new dance shoes is very exciting. And if you are unfortunate enough to have to order them from a shop in London (yes, England) you get to be excited for a very long time....2 months, 2 weeks, and counting...
Ahhh, this is good http://www.svenbudelmann.de/Movies/Movies2003/Demo.html Gorgeous dancer by the name of Polina Semionova. Her expressiveness and fluidity amazes me. If only I could speak German (Steve, help!!).
Boomer. How is it that we go to a photography lecture by him and although we heard nothing new (lucky us in the pro photo program who had classes with him for 4 months) we still come out of the lecture inspired to shoot? That is impressive I think. or something.
I was intending to take a picture a day. But that doesn't seem to be happening.
ok, i'm done. I promise next time I won't write unless it is interesting ;)

The Dog Walk
Maggie, Likalia, EvilMonkey, The Dog, my camera and I. Where's the dog? He's not in this picture. I've got photos of him, but this one is more intersting.
