Seeing Red

Yup, definitely seeing red at the moment but not in that negative angry sense.


It's three days to Canada Day which means I'm up to my eyeballs in dance costuming for our annual performance as part of the evening's cultural celebrations at the city's theatre. This year we're attempting to be more unified in our costume by having a common colour theme - that being red. Very red (very appropriate of course).

I like red; in moderation. Right now I have to admit that I'd like to not have to sew anything more in red for quite some time ;)

I woke up this morning and looked out on a gorgeous sunny day and wondered if it was the solstice today, or tomorrow, or if somehow in among general busy life business it had passed unnoticed. I realized that I don't own a paper calendar on which to look it up. I thought to google it. Then I thought that Google would likely "tell" me which day it was by changing their logo on their home page and so I didn't even bother to look it up. Hmmm...talk about a bit too internet dependant.

*Note* Google did Not celebrate the solstice with a google doodle :(
