Musical Trivia

Thanks to Koko's blog for this game....

Bry, how ironic eh? You can play this version instead of the real one you were talking about last week...

The Rules:
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

*note* feel free to guess on mine even if you dont' plan on creating your own list :)

Ok, these are from my mp3 player so they are the current preferred selection of my eclectic musical tastes...

{insert dance partner here}

Looking to promenade across the hardwood floor? Energetic young woman seeks eligible male for tango, samba and swing. Must be free weekday evenings. A sense of rhythm is essential; previous experience not necessary. If you think you have what it takes to lift me; bow my way.

At One with your shoes...

I wish I had a picture of the shoes that the models in America's Next Top Model wore tonight in one of their challenges. Those platformed stilletos would have made my new dance shoes look like kitten heels. I also wish I could get my hands on a pair to see how well I could walk in them; let me show those girls how to really move in heels ;) Ok, yes, false bravado, but really it's jsut a matter of being at one with your shoes...

NEW SHOES!!!

Here they are; in all their new shiny, sparkly, metalic gold brilliance :) 4 months and 21 days after they were ordered they are finally in my possession. I was going to post a photo of my old pair as well but I'm not sure I want to show off how disgusting they were... *EDIT* ok, decided to include the icky old ones afterall.

Johari/Nohari Window

K, I saw this on Maggie's site and it looked interesting...

First I describe me, then you describe me and then it sorts the descriptors according to how you see yourself/how others see you/what you dont' see/what they don't see...

The first one is primarily positive: my Johari window

This second one is fairly negative: my Nohari window

(go on; I can take it ;) )

Mutiny cafe-culture style

I found this article and the comments it inspired very interesting; nothing like a little controversy to bring forth the whole gamut of human responses. There are always many sides to any one story and probably as many "truths" as there are sides. A good thing to remember I suppose when dealing with issues in one's own life...
