Can anyone explain to me how to get excel to recognize the zeros that my =IF(G28>VLOOKUP(D28,MileageLookup,2,FALSE),G28-VLOOKUP(D28,MileageLookup,2,FALSE),"0") function has returned for values of the logical function that are false? The DAVERAGE and DMIN functions aren't working properly on that column because excel doesn't seem to recognize that the 0's are actually legitimate zero values and not just some sort of place holder.
Grrr.

OMG I am stressed out for you. There must be an excel forum on the google...
S
You're brilliant!
It took about 2 mins for someone to answer my question-pointing out that I had actually told Excel to treat them as text by putting the "" around them. Ahhh...the joys of trying to "build a house on a foundation of sand".
So I read that about 3 times and got nothing out of it but Charlie Brown's teacher talking to me.
HA HA! I was just going to say that most of what I read in your question was 'alien' to me because I do not know Excel. Maggie said it much better than me though. ;)
