August 6th - Leaving it to the last minute...

I went to the beach this evening in desperation; I was hoping to find a photo. I thought perhaps a nice textured wood and rocks shot to go with my crab from yesterday, or maybe I'd just set up my coffee and book in the nice evening light and go with that.

The light on the way there suggested there was too much haze for there to be much in the way of the "golden hour" and the pretty sunset colours looked as though they wouldn't be visible from Goose spit. Instead of staying put and thinking "probably not worth it" as I usually do, I went that way anyways...

...and I was rewarded with a brilliant ball of sun slowly setting over the trees and mountains.

Hey Tara!
That is a gorgeous shot...good for you! I know that feeling...but the challenge makes us get out and do it! I have been enjoying following along with your shots...they are inspiring me also!
Cheers,
S
