Why are they always right?
Yet again the adults were right. Now that I'm old enough to have to shovel my car out of the snow it is not quite as exciting as it used to be to see snowflakes congregating outside my windows.
This is my road. 7 houses don't warrant a plowing by the municipality:
So my bro decided to take matters into his own hands (tires) and play snowplow...

My very own SouthPark character.
Even though I haven't watched the show in probably 8 years (oh goodness was it really that long ago?)
As Likalia said, "all the cool kids are doing it..."

and they are doing it here.

I have been remiss
and neglectful of you. I apologize (if any of you are actually put out by the fact; perhaps it is neither here nor there to you. That is quite alright of course).
I should be, at this moment, engaged in the reconciliation of a particular comprehensive accounting problem. Good fun for a 100 marks and 10% of my grade in Fundamental Accounting Principles - BUS 112. Yes, business courses. Because I am apparently unable to extract myself from the idea of going to school. Joining the real world is highly over-rated. Have I said that before here? I hope not - or not too many times at least... I think it is not the idea of joining the real world so much as the idea of joining it was no particularly useful skills or surefire plan of how to go about surviving in it. Hence the school. Again. I have always enjoyed a good math problem. I like sorting things out. I told my work experience co-ordinator in high school that I would either like a placement to do with teaching or accounting. I ended up in a kindergarten class for a week which was good fun. And predictable. I assumed at the time that it would be far easier to find a placement in a classroom as opposed to one with an accountant. Not to mention the look the co-ordinator gave me when I said accounting; I don't think this woman was particularly fond of numbers. It was similar to the looks I am getting now when people ask what I am up to.
[rant] I feel as though I'm constantly defending this idea. It's getting a bit annoying actually. And I really don't understand why "ew, I don't like math, I could never do that" is the favoured response to my explanation. I don't care if you like math or not. It has nothing to do with you. [/rant]
So this has been about half of what I've been up to since September. Initially 6 courses (statistics, financial math, accounting, microeconomics, administrative principles, and marketing), all of which are transferable (or prerequ's for transferable courses) for credits to the Certified General Accountants Association. But seeing as how I am the Indigo Eve that I am and not all that good at sorting my time and accomplishing schoolwork I ended up dropping admin principles (which was a nasty course with a complete pain of an instructor - and I'm not even going to get into that...) and marketing. Both of which I may or may not pick up in the future throught the college here. I always have the option to take the courses through the CGA, but it is generally cheaper through the college.
The other half has been devoted to work, wasting time, having fun, sleeping, eating, and of course-the important bit-dancing. Yay, for dancing. Except when it's driving me nuts. and frustrating me, which sometimes is for acceptable reasons and sometimes is not for what I would consider acceptable reasons. For the first time in well, ever, I've been able to take nearly as many classes as I want to. I'm only missing out on ballet. Four classes a week, one really awesome new partner (*sniffle* my original partner has since decided to be too busy with fulltime work and full-time culinary arts school. It's sort of strange to have a new partner after 5 years with the same one); Chacha/Rumba, Tango, Foxtrot/Waltz and West Coast swing, as well as a foxtrot routine in the year-end show which constitutes another hour a week of choreography/practice time. Oh yes, plus Friday nights which are the dance school's weekly 2 hour practice time. So, all in all that adds up to 7 hours of dance a week. While it's been good, there are some ongoing issues that are causing a few of us some grief. Mind you, since I have been managing to keep this post positive so far so let's leave it that way for now and I'll get into the negative bits (I'm sure) later.
p.s. I didn't bomb the "Ick"onomics midterm afterall. But I did manage to get an entire section wrong that I thought I understood. Oh dear...
